PFGA members were advised by email on 19 June 2020, of the decision of the Fair Work Australia on 19 June 2020, granting wage increases in respect of employees who are employed in the Picture Framing (manufacturing and clerical).
All Award rates of pay for adult employees were increased by 1.75% per week.
OPERATIVE DATE: From the beginning of the first pay period to commence on or after 1 November 2020.
JUNIOR AND APPRENTICE RATES OF PAY
Increases are also applicable to junior employees and apprentices.
Members are advised that the new Junior rates of pay are now calculated as a percentage of Level 2.
Apprentice Rates of Pay are calculated on a percentage of the tradespersons’ rate of pay, Level 5.
Members are advised to compare the new Award rates of pay for all employees with their current weekly payments and make any necessary adjustments.
Employees must be paid at least the new Award rate of pay for their respective classification, even if the employee is employed on a Contract of Employment or Enterprise Agreement.
These increases are fully absorbable against all over award payments, including payments made by certified agreements.
PFGA members have been forwarded a Wage Rate Schedule reflecting the wage increase.
NOTE: CASUAL LOADING
The Casual Loading for all employees covered by Awards is now 25%.
