LOCATING DISCONTINUED MOULDINGS
Thank you to the many members who have assisted in locating many discontinued mouldings.
I have been advised of a number of successful discoveries. Well done!!
All members and the PFA are most grateful for your successful searches and assistance provided to fellow members. Thank you also to members who take the time and effort to look through stock records and physical stock without success. Assisting a member in locating a moulding is a wonderful benefit of PFGA membership.
INDUSTRY RETIREMENTS
The PFGA and its Members congratulate Connie Crettenden and Tim Duurland of The Frame Factory in South Australia on their retirement from the Picture Framing Industry after 41 years.
Connie, together with her brother Tim developed a very well-deserved reputation of providing excellent and expert picture framing service to ‘000s of customers.
Moreover, Connie and Tim were significant contributors to the South Australian Picture Framers Guild and the Picture Framers Guild of Australia as committee members, and as attendees at Members’ meeting and functions.
It is proposed to hold a PFGA Members’ meeting in Adelaide in March 2023 at which the PFGA and members will be able to formally recognise their contribution. On this occasion, the PFGA will also acknowledge the wonderful contribution of a number of their SA colleagues who have contributed to the SA Picture Framers Guild and the PFGA. Details to follow.
STAFF MOVEMENTS
Kon Pantellis has advised that he has moved on from Southern Mouldings in South Australia.
Kon together with Bill commenced Southern Mouldings in 2000 and has been a stalwart to the Picture Framing Industry during this time. Kon in his role as a significant supplier, sales representative and adviser to SA and NT Picture Framers made many friends and will be missed.
The PFGA acknowledges and thanks Kon for his contribution to the industry, PFGA Member meetings and in particular his encouragement to all Picture Framers to attend these meetings.
The PFGA wishes Kon the very best with his future endeavours.
